HOW TO INSTALL THIS SMOKE ALARM 1. From the bottom of smoke  alarm, turn mounting plate counterclockwise to remouve mounting plate. 2. Install the plate on the ceiling with two screws 3.Twist the alarm on the plate  TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1. Working Current Static current &lt= 10UA Alarm Current &lt= 12mA 2. Operating voltage  DC 9v 3. Audio Alarm. 85 dB at 10 feet 4. Temp Range 14°F (-10) to 47°F  (60 C°) 5. Humidity Range &lt= 95% RH   6. Battery 9v battery back -up for at least 1 year 7. Protection Area  6 m high , 60m²   DO NOTE stand close to the alarm when the horm is sounding. standing too close many be harmful to your hearing.
